Apply to be a court appointed special advocate volunteer

If you have already attended a Volunteer Information Session, and want to become a CASA volunteer, then this is the next step!

Please read below carefully before you begin.  The form available via the linked button is SSL encrypted for security purposes.

You are about to complete the application for pre-service training. This is a lengthy form that must be completed in one sitting. You may take as much time as you like to answer the questions, but please note that there is no "save" feature. To streamline the process, we recommend the following:

  1. Gather information needed to complete the application. This list includes names, addresses, employment history, your dates of residence, contact information for 4 references and demographic information.

  2. Your completed application will also include a one page "Personal Statement" that you can copy and paste into the form or upload in MS Word format. The statement may include any information about yourself that you want to share but should focus on your motivation to work with CASA. Your story will be kept confidential and only shared among CASA staff for screening purposes.

If you have any questions, please contact Sara Torres at sara@casapassaicunion.org or call 973 832 4002.

Criteria used in the selection of volunteers will be such as to ensure that the individual is able to meet the responsibilities of a Court Appointed Special Advocate. No individual will be rejected because of race, color, religious creed, national origin, sex, age, or marital status.

Once we receive your application, a staff member will be in contact to arrange a time for your in-person interview.
